Donald Trump has said his administration will not recruit anybody associated with a number of Washington establishment figures, including people who worked for or endorsed Nikki Haley, Mike Pence and Mitt Romney.
In a fiery post on Truth Social, just days before his inauguration, Trump said his incoming administration has already hired more than a thousand people to work for the US government.
He went on to say that the hiring process will be made easier if certain recommendations stop being made.
The President-elect wrote: “In order to save time, money, and effort, it would be helpful if you would not send, or recommend to us, people who worked with, or are endorsed by, Americans for No Prosperity (headed by Charles Koch), “Dumb as a Rock” John Bolton, “Birdbrain” Nikki Haley, Mike Pence, disloyal Warmongers Dick Cheney, and his Psycho daughter, Liz, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, General(?) Mark Milley, James Mattis, Mark Yesper, or any of the other people suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, more commonly known as TDS.”
Reaction to the post was positive on social media.
“Trump just gave a massive middle finger to the establishment wing of the GOP,” wrote one user.
“Donald Trump’s announcement of over 1,000 hires for his incoming administration shows what real leadership looks like—decisive, focused, and ready to deliver for the American people,” posted another.
“While Biden and the Democrats spent four years bogging the government down with bureaucratic incompetence, Trump is assembling a team of America First patriots committed to reversing the damage.”
