Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said at a Wednesday campaign event in North Carolina that he’d call Iran and warn their largest cities would be destroyed by the U.S. military if the nation ever threatened to kill a U.S. politician, as it has reportedly done.
“If I were the president, I would inform the threatening country — in this case, Iran — that if you do anything to harm this person, we are going to blow your largest cities and the country itself to smithereens. We are going to blow it to smithereens,” Trump said at a campaign event in North Carolina.
“But right now, we don’t have the leadership necessary to do that,” the former president added. “We have two people, not one, that only keep looking, and when you do that, trouble always ensues.”
The GOP nominee was briefed earlier this week by U.S. intelligence and military officials who told him Iran was threatening to assassinate him.

A senior Department of Homeland Security official similarly told Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz last week that there are currently five known assassination squads on U.S. soil with the goal of murdering Donald Trump.
Trump wrote about the supposed threats by Iran in an X post on Wednesday, explaining, “Big threats on my life by Iran. The entire U.S. Military is watching and waiting. Moves were already made by Iran that didn’t work out, but they will try again. Not a good situation for anyone. I am surrounded by more men, guns, and weapons than I have ever seen before. Thank you to Congress for unanimously approving far more money to Secret Service – Zero ‘NO’ Votes, strictly bipartisan. Nice to see Republicans and Democrats get together on something. An attack on a former President is a Death Wish for the attacker!”

While the Iranian regime may want to neutralize a strong leader like Donald Trump, it’s also worth noting the Deep State may be prepared to allow them to get to him or could even be collaborating with the Middle Eastern nation.
In fact, the Kamala Harris campaign was caught last week colluding with Iran after the nation hacked into his campaign and turned over information to the Democrat selectee’s campaign.

The establishment is clearly trying to paint the narrative that Iran wants to kill Trump so they can blame the country if the Deep State either allows or stages an assassination of the GOP nominee.
