Trump Signals NO WAR With Iran

The post mentioning Israel, a major enemy of Iran, is notable as on Wednesday Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Trump and held a joint press conference. Israel has been in the headlines over the last year for their genocide in Gaza and their expansionist war which has since reached Lebanon, the West Bank and Syria.

Trump has already stated that Israel's war in Gaza is "not our war" and that he now seeks to rebuild the obliterated area and foresees a future U.S. ownership of Gaza. What this would mean for future administrations and foreign policies is unclear however.

On Wednesday President Donald Trump issued a social media post which stated that although he will not accept Iran having nuclear weapons, he does not want to prevent this via military action, instead seeking a path that will allow the Islamic country to proposer.

“I want Iran to be a great and successful Country, but one that cannot have a Nuclear Weapon,” Trump said in a social media post. “Reports that the United States, working in conjunction with Israel, is going to blow Iran into smithereens, ARE GREATLY EXAGGERATED. I would much prefer a Verified Nuclear Peace Agreement, which will let Iran peacefully grow and prosper. We should start working on it immediately, and have a big Middle East Celebration when it is signed and completed. God Bless the Middle East!”

Trump has recently signaled his hope for global denuclearization between Russia, China and the U.S., a move Russia has signaled they’re also interested in. The wish for nuclear arms reductions among nuclear countries coincides with Trump’s statements against Iran possessing the bomb.

Before he assumed office Trump brought about a hostage release and peace deal in Israel’s war with Hamas, something Netanyahu thanked Trump for before thanking then-lame-duck-President Joe Biden.

In addition to Trump’s peacemaking in the Middle East, the President is also bringing about peace negotiations in Eastern Europe.
