President Trump is revoking the security clearances of former Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg and New York DA Letitia James.
President Trump told The New York Post that Blinken, Bragg and James would no longer be allowed to enter federal buildings.
“This is to take away every right they have [revoking security clearances] including they can’t go into [federal] buildings,” the President said.
He added that they would be given “exactly the same” punishment as former President Joe Biden, who had his security clearance revoked this week, and the 50+ intelligence officials who spoke out to claim the Hunter Biden laptop was “Russian disinformation” during the 2020 election campaign.
AGs Bragg and James both prosecuted Trump. Bragg brought the “hush money” case against the President, and James brought a civil fraud case against him for supposedly exaggerating his wealth while applying for bank loans.
The revocations will be largely symbolic, but they could also hamper Bragg and James in carrying out their official duties.
President Trump also told the Post that he has other individuals in his sights.
“The other targets Trump disclosed to The Post include Biden’s former National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, who also was chief foreign policy adviser to Hillary Clinton during her failed 2016 presidential bid when he notoriously helped foment the Trump-Russia collusion hoax.
“Also in Trump’s sights are Biden’s Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, who was involved in overseeing lawfare investigations against Trump and coordinating the DOJ response to the Jan. 6 riot.
“She also helped orchestrate the Russia hoax while working as an aide to President Obama.”
Other individuals involved in the Russiagate campaign against the President, including Andrew Weissman, Mark Zaid and Norm Eisen are also likely to be subject to sanctions.
