Donald Trump appeared to troll Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Tuesday after details of a meeting between the pair at Mar-a-Lago revealed the president-elect joked about annexing Canada.
On Tuesday, the 45th president posted an AI-generated image to Truth Social showing him taking in the view of Canada’s mountainous terrain alongside a Canadian flag.
“Oh Canada!” Trump captioned the post.
The image came after details of a meeting between Trump and Trudeau last Friday were uncovered by Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy.
“Tonight we’re getting some new details about that Trump Trudeau dinner from two people who were at the table,” Doocy reported Monday.

“We are told that when Trudeau told President-elect Trump that new tariffs would kill the Canadian economy, Trump joked to him that if Canada can’t survive without ripping off the U.S. to the tune of $100 billion a year, then maybe Canada should become the 51st state and Trudeau could become its governor.”
Trudeau reportedly responded with nervous laughter, according to Fox News.
Trump’s masterful trolling effort was well-received on social media.
