Democrat Joe Biden – who was just treated with the COVID-19 vaccine on Monday – claimed that America’s “darkest days” in the coronavirus fight “are ahead of us”, implying more lockdowns would be imminent under his administration.
During a press conference on Tuesday, Biden told reporters that the worst of the pandemic is still to come — despite the vaccine rollout and steady drop in reported COVID deaths.
“One thing I promise you about my leadership during this crisis: I’m going to tell it to you straight. I’m going to tell you the truth. And here is the simple truth: Our darkest days in the battle against Covid are ahead of us, not behind us.”
Biden’s remarks don’t reflect the science, which shows that the coronavirus pandemic is waning as COVID deaths remain low nationwide.
Earlier this month, Biden falsely predicted that 250,000 more Americans would die from COVID by January.
“I don’t want to scare anybody here, but understand the facts: We’re likely to lose another 250,000 people dead between now and January,” Biden said. “You hear me? Because people aren’t paying attention.”
As of this writing, John’s Hopkins University has reported only 30,000 COVID deaths this month — and that’s including co-morbidities.
Biden was inoculated with the Pfizer and BioNTech coronavirus vaccine on television Monday, reassuring Americans of its safety.
Biden’s remarks are terrifying, given a panel of thousands of medical experts have agreed that the strict lockdown measures have done more harm than good for the American people.
“Current lockdown policies are producing devastating effects on short- and long-term public health,” the panel wrote.
“The results (to name a few) include lower childhood-vaccination rates, worsening cardiovascular-disease outcomes, fewer cancer screenings and deteriorating mental health — leading to greater excess mortality in years to come, with the working class and younger members of society carrying the heaviest burden. Keeping students out of school is a grave injustice.”
If Biden is sworn in on January 20th, 2021, there truly will be “dark days” ahead.
