Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) perfectly demonstrated on Friday how to take on corporate media lackeys who stopped interviewing Republicans in good faith a long time ago.
Hawley sat down with KSDK-TV’s Mark Maxwell, but before the interview kicked off, Hawley had some pointed questions of his own about the media cheerleading Big Tech censorship.
“I gotta ask you, why all the hate for people who like free speech on Twitter? What’s going on with that? You called people who liked Elon Musk buying the site Twitter a bunch of ‘boot-lickers.’ This was on March 6. I’m looking at it right here. Seems kind of vitriolic,” Hawley asked.

Maxwell defended his remarks, claiming he was frustrated with the “cultish adoration” many on Twitter had for its new CEO Elon Musk.
“There was a moment of frustration when the site went down and there were a lot of folks in my mentions who kept quite a cultish adoration for [Musk],” Maxwell said, adding he may not have been sober during his Twitter meltdowns over Musk’s acquisition of the social media platform.
“You also said that you didn’t necessarily do any of this sober…I hope you do our interview sober!” the Missouri senator quipped.
Hawley perfectly demonstrated how you deal with the pro-censorship Mockingbird Media: civilized ridicule and contempt.
