Following Tuesday night’s Vice Presidential Debate, Democrat nominee Tim Walz and his wife grabbed a few slices of New York City pizza where the Kamala Harris running mate totally ignored multiple reporters questioning an odd statement he made during the event.
“Governor, you said you became friends with school shooters during the debate. Can you clarify what you meant on that?” one reporter asked as Walz acted like he didn’t hear despite just interacting with the journalists.
A female reporter asked the same question much louder, saying, “Can you clarify what you meant when you said you befriended school shooters?”
Again, Walz refused to acknowledge the reporters standing feet away.

X owner Elon Musk got a laugh out of the gaffe and pointed out the Democrat wasn’t fact-checked for the bizarre claim.
“Mind-blowing that Tim Walz said he was ‘friends with school shooters.’ He didn’t even get fact-checked lmao,” Musk wrote.

A guest on Tucker Carlson’s program following the debate claimed the Walz flub might have been “the greatest vice presidential debate flop in living memory.”

It’s so insane that this is what the Democrat Party has become. pic.twitter.com/HMTGqpQtAq
Donald Trump on Truth Social wondered why media outlets after the debate weren’t covering the comment and alleged Walz had previously made a similar remark about befriending school shooters.
Of course, the internet turned the remark into hilarious memes mocking Walz.
