The White House held a big gay celebration on Saturday and watching Joe Biden try to make sense of it all was surreal.

Not creepy or dystopian at all.

Biden repeated the made up story about how he realised he supported LGBTQ+ when he saw two well dressed men in suits kissing over half a century ago (but again didn’t mention that he voted against gay marriage for most of the 50 proceeding years).

Biden again tells a story about seeing "two well dressed men standing on the corner" kissing each other decades ago in Wilmington, Delaware: "I'd never seen that before!"

But perhaps the most egregious part was when Biden claimed, without citing any examples or evidence, that there are homophobes everywhere kicking gay people out of restaurants.

“When a person can be married in the morning and thrown out of a restaurant for being gay in the afternoon, something is still very wrong in America,” Biden said.
