Former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson hosted a “Leadership Summit” sponsored by The Blaze on Friday where GOP presidential candidates were questioned by the popular news presenter.

Donald Trump didn’t participate in the event, but former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, former Vice President Mike Pence, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy all took part in the summit.

During the interviews, Carlson highlighted why he’s so popular among American citizens by holding the candidates’ feet to the fire and refusing to lob softball questions.

During his conversation with Pence, Carlson was stunned to hear the former vice president complain the Biden administration has not sent enough military support to Ukraine.

“I’m sorry Mr. Vice President,” Tucker interrupted. “You are distressed that the Ukrainians don’t have enough American tanks… Every city in the United States has become much worse over the past three years.”

Carlson noted rising crime, collapsing infrastructure, rising suicide rates and the poor economy before asking Pence “Where’s the concern for the United States?”

In a totally bizarre response, Pence said, “That’s not my concern,” before going into a generic pro-America rant.

Regarding the Ukrainian government’s repeated attacks on Russian-Orthodox churches in the country, Pence claimed the churches were “working with Russia” without providing proof.

After Tucker explained many media reports have exposed the Zelensky government’s persecution of clergy members and church officials, Pence claimed he “wouldn’t stand by” the religious persecution.

However, his lack of knowledge of the situation shows Pence doesn’t care enough about the Ukrainian suppression of religion.

When the pair talked about voting security, Pence supported showing photo ID to vote before touching on electronic voting machines, saying, “It’s absolutely essential we do everything in our power to restore public confidence in the one person one vote principle.”

Carlson quickly answered with a question, “Why not just get rid of the electronic voting machines and call it a day and then we don’t have to debate it?”

The crowd loudly applauded Tucker’s point and Pence claimed he’d “be open to that.”

Speaking with Tim Scott, Carlson again touched on the Ukraine war and questioned why so many politicians see Russia as America’s enemy when they’ve not killed any U.S. citizens, while Mexico is deemed an ally despite the fact they allow fentanyl to enter the nation and kill hundreds of thousands of Americans.

Scott never really answered the question about Russia and instead criticized Mexico for bringing in the fentanyl, saying he’d “use every tool available” to stop it from coming into America.

Pressing Scott on the ongoing war in Ukraine, Tucker asked, “Why not force a peace?” and the senator responded, “How would you do that?”

Even though he’s not the one running for president, Carlson went on to detail ways a competent leader could stop the war.

Later during his time with Scott, Carlson pushed the idea of defunding the Pentagon because the military is not protecting the United States’ southern border.

Asa Hutchinson got Tucker to reveal he has never taken a Covid vaccine!

Hutchinson was also slammed by Carlson for supporting hormone therapies for children.

“These are children who are being altered permanently, and you can defend that change if you like, but there’s really no debate about whether or not it’s permanent,” Carlson said.

When it came Nikki Haley’s time onstage, Carlson asked, “Who blew up the Nord Stream pipeline?” and she said she didn’t know who did it before asking the host if he knew.

“It seems pretty obvious it was backed by the Biden administration I would say. I think all the evidence suggests that,” Carlson said to applause.

After being asked about the cocaine in the White House, Haley pointed out it was found in an area she has been to before and that the location is “the most secure area anywhere.”

“People don’t just go in and out of there,” she said. “It is either the president, the vice president, cabinet members, or deputy directors. Nobody else is going in there.”

Regarding the excuse that there are no cameras in the area, Haley said, “There are absolutely cameras in there. So, I strongly believe this is a cover-up for either Hunter or someone very close to the president and they don’t want to say who it is.”

Getting to the most crucial issue with the White House cocaine scandal, Haley said, “If you’ve got somebody doing cocaine deciding on national security, that’s what I’m worried about.”

“And it shows, I would say,” Tucker quipped, making the audience erupt in laughter. “I mean, we seem to be closer to nuclear war than anytime in my life.”

Tucker also questioned Joe Biden allegedly receiving 81 million votes in the 2020 presidential election.

Haley noted the American people don’t trust the intelligence agencies that help run U.S. elections.

Vivek Ramaswamy was one of the only candidates that didn’t butt heads with Carlson, going on a fiery rant about how the establishment’s censorship crusade pushed Americans to lash out on January 6th.

The GOP candidate also said Jan. 6th would look mild compared to a real revolution and that the ruling class is pushing us in that direction.

Ramaswamy also touched on racial “privileges” in America by noting he had the ultimate privilege growing up, which was having a mother and father who focused on his education and had faith in God.

At one point, Ramaswamy suggested Americans stop being confined by the identity of being a “Republican” and instead ask, “What it means to be an American today?”

Regarding the war in Ukraine, the entrepreneur asked how the conflict could be ended in a way that helps America.

Ramaswamy went on to detail a well-thought-out plan for ending the war while also securing American interests.

During Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ interview, the GOP presidential contender touched on the Ukraine war, saying he would force Europe to provide more weapons to Zelensky’s government.

“We cannot have a quagmire that goes on for years and years. And seeing Biden put those troops there, I can tell you we cannot have American troops in Ukraine. That’s a total nonstarter,” DeSantis added.

When Tucker asked about how he’d manage the administrative state, DeSantis said he’d fire the FBI Director on day one and that he would have fired Dr. Anthony Fauci.
