On Tuesday President Donald Trump’s special envoy Keith Kellogg said that Washington is in talks with NATO countries about deploying NATO military forces to Ukraine as part of the post-war plan. They would be stationed west of the Dnieper River, placing them outside the contact zone.
“This is a force referred to as the E3, but it’s actually now the E4 – when you include the Brits, the French, and the Germans, and in fact, the Poles as well,” Kellogg told Fox Business on Tuesday.
While the NATO troops would be west of the Dnieper River, there could be a “third party” with forces stationed to the east of the river to “monitor” the conflict’s aftermath.
“And then to the east you have a peacekeeping force, and what it would look like with a third party involved with that. So, you can actually monitor a ceasefire; we have this thing pretty well planned out,” he said.
Notably, Kellogg did say that these deployments may not happen immediately.

The U.K. and France head up a group named The Coalition of the Willing which seeks to deploy their troops to Ukraine, a great concern for those who are conscious of peace due to the hawk-like nature of those country’s foreign policy agendas.
Ukrainian Dictator Vladimir Zelensky is set to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday in Istanbul, Turkey to negotiate a peace plan. Kellogg said that this could be an absolute incredible meeting.
