CNN anchor Dana Bash highlighted the Democrat Party’s struggle to appeal to “testosterone-laden” male voters, suggesting the DNC is putting forth soft male figures attempting to show it’s ok to vote for a woman.
The bizarre self-own came amid a panel discussion during Wednesday night’s DNC coverage, where Bash mentioned Kamala Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff and running mate Tim Walz as primary examples.
“…They are doing so in trying to put forward male figures, Tim Walz being one of them, Doug Emhoff last night, who can speak to men out there, who might not be the sort of testosterone-laden, you know, gun-toting kind of guy who wants to listen to Hulk Hogan and the kind of players that came out of the RNC,” Bash said.
Dana Bash argues that Democrats are trying to speak to men “who might not be the testosterone-laden, gun-toting type of guy who wants to listen to Hulk Hogan” and “understand that in 2024 it’s ok to be a man comfortable in his own skin who supports a woman.” pic.twitter.com/kCKHhCqn7u

“Or might want to listen to that, but also, in addition, understand that it’s okay in 2024 to be a man comfortable in his own skin who supports a woman,” she continued, adding, “And that’s something that they really are trying to work on with male voters beyond the base.”
Bash’s remarks, shedding light on what many have long suspected about Democrats, were celebrated on social media.
Incredible. This must surely be the first time in history that a party has made its appeal to male voters on the basis of having low testosterone. https://t.co/EksjqztFG3

It’s pretty simple and true:
Masculine men and feminine women vote Republican
Effeminate men and machismo women vote Democratic. https://t.co/QwKCNBQ3B6

Bash’s mention of Hulk Hogan referenced his recent fired-up exhibition of masculinity at the Republican National Convention last month, where he ripped off his shirt on-stage to reveal a Trump-Vance shirt, while shouting, “Let Trump-amania run wild, brother!”

Bash’s commentary on the masculinity disparity between the parties is closer to reality than she realizes.
