Sky News cameras were rolling when a devastated Pacific Palisades resident confronted Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom (Calif.), as he pretended to be on a phone call with President Joe Biden.
“Governor, I live here, governor. That was my daughter’s school, governor. Please tell me what you’re going to do,” the upset resident wearing a face masked asked as she approached Newsom.
“I’m literally talking to the President right now to specifically answer the question of what we can do for you and your daughter,” Newsom reassured the resident, who went on to ask, “Can I hear it? Can I hear your call?” and added, “I don’t believe it.”
At this point, Newsom knew the jig was up and admitted, “I’ve tried five times — that’s why I’m walking around to make the call.”
“Why is the president not taking your call?” the citizen persisted.
“Because it’s not going through,” Newsom told the woman, “so I have to get cell service. There’s no cell service.”
After Newsom shared his condolences, the resident followed up demanding, “Why is there no water in the hydrants, governor?”
Newsom again stammered, saying he would “fill them up personally” if he could, but that ultimately he’d do whatever he could to fill the hydrants.
The incredible exchange illustrates the governor’s sheer incompetence and lack of a coherent action plan, akin to a chicken running with its head cut off.
Everyone should pray for the people of California — and thank their lucky stars Californian politician Kamala Harris didn’t win the US presidential election.
On a side note, Sky News is really shaping up to be an MVP in wildfire news coverage after capturing this latest confrontation, in addition to its reporter holding LA Mayor Karen Bass’ feet to the fire as she arrived back from Africa Wednesday.
As she was waiting to deplane upon her return from Ghana, Bass was confronted by a Sky News reporter who barraged her with questions over her competence and whether she regretted downsizing the fire department.
JUST IN: Los Angeles mayor Karen Bass freezes up while getting absolutely skewered by a reporter for her horrible policies.

This is exactly how these people should be treated.
Reporter: "Do you owe citizens an apology for being absent while their homes were burning?"
"Do you… pic.twitter.com/IDMTiclsKH
“Do you owe citizens an apology for being absent while their homes were burning? Do you regret cutting the fire department budget by millions of dollars, madam mayor?” the reporter asked Bass, who stared blankly without uttering a word.
“Have you nothing to say today?” the reporter continued. “Have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today?”
“Elon Musk says that you’re utterly incompetent. Are you reconsidering your position?” he asked a mute Bass. “Madam mayor, have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today who are dealing with this disaster? No apology for them?”
“Do you think you should have been visiting Ghana while this was unfolding back home?” he also asked.
You know the situation is bad for Democrats when the leftist mainstream media is confronting them.
