An MSNBC panel held a five-minute struggle session criticizing President Donald Trump as a “racist” and a “white supremacist” after he offered asylum to white Afrikaner refugees fleeing persecution.
During the segment, panelist Rick Stengel chastised the president for offering asylum to “the descendants of the people who created the most diabolical system of white supremacy in human history, apartheid.”
“What has happened in this strange, bizarre world we’re living in is that the Afrikaners have become the darling of these right-wing white supremacist movements around the world that it’s like the lost cause for them,” Stengel continued.
The leftist political analyst went on to criticize Trump for calling the murders of white Afrikaners a
“genocide,” claiming only a few had been killed.
“Trump amazingly called it a ‘genocide,’ one of the worst lies I’ve ever heard him say. There’s just been a small handful of farmers that have been killed over the past 10 years,” Stengel said.
The number of farmers killed is well above “a small handful,” as the Witkruis Monument, a Christian memorial, contains nearly 3,000 crosses, each representing a victim of farm attacks since 1994, a majority of whom were white Afrikaners.
