Two people were killed and at least six injured when a plane collided with a bus on a busy street in Brazil on Friday, according to reports.
The fatal crash unfolded at around 7:20 a.m. in Barra Funda, a district on the west side of Sao Paolo.
A Beechcraft King Air F90 bound for Porto Alegre lost communications with the control tower shortly after takeoff, the Aviation Safety Network reports.
The pilot attempted an emergency landing on Avenida Marques, but struck a public transit bus and exploded.
Footage captured by witnesses and surveillance cameras has been circulating on social media, including a video apparently showing the aircraft passing very close to high-rise buildings just moments before impact.

“I was going to take the access to Avenida Sumaré and was going to take the return, when suddenly the plane came down the avenue and I just saw everything flying and the fireball,” Genival Dantas Arraes told Globo.
“It exploded immediately. Everyone was paralyzed. The plane was ripping up palm trees and signs. It went by very quickly.”
