Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) brought a cardboard cutout of Kamala Harris to the border in South Texas in order to make up for the administration’s lack of visits.

Filmed during a visit to McAllen, Texas, Boebert drew attention to the porous border and its accompanying problems, including drug trafficking and human smuggling, while at the same time noting the absence of Biden’s “border czar.”

“More than 70 days ago, Biden named ‘Cackling Kamala’ as border czar, but she hasn’t done a single thing to protect the American people. She hasn’t even been down here to see the border,” Boebert says.

“You can’t just hear about what’s happening, you have to come down here to see for yourself to really understand the devastating reality at our southern border,” Boebert explained, adding, “So I brought Kamala down to see exactly what this regime is responsible for with their manmade crisis.”

Boebert’s stunt comes as Kamala finally made a two-day visit to Guatemala, where she told would-be migrants she “believed” they would be turned back if they attempted illegal entry into the US.

“I believe if you come to our border, you will be turned back,” Harris said Monday. “So let’s discourage our friends or neighbors or family members from embarking on what is otherwise an extremely dangerous journey.”

However, Harris’ refusal to visit Texas’ southern border, ground zero of the US invasion, has been a major subject of criticism since her appointment.

The lack of border tours was highlighted on Monday by NBC’s Lester Holt, who pressed Kamala on why she had yet to observe the impacted region.

“Do you have any plans to visit the border?” Holt asked.

“At some point,” Harris responded, throwing up her hands exasperatingly.

“We are going to the border,” she continued. “We’ve been to the border. So this whole thing about the border, we’ve been to the border.”

“You haven’t been to the border,” Holt reminded her.

“I haven’t been to Europe either,” Harris replied, breaking into a trademark cackle and claiming, “I don’t understand the point you’re trying to make.”
