Robert F. Kennedy Jr. received several applause lines during his confirmation hearing on Wednesday despite several Democrat attempts to undermine his nomination as Secretary for Health and Human Services (HHS).

Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee tripped over themselves trying to corner Kennedy on a range of topics, but the HHS Secretary nominee consistently left them reeling with thoughtful and incisive answers.

For example, RFK Jr. shut down Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nevada) after she asked him if he would be a “rubber stamp” for the Trump administration.

“President Trump has asked me to end the chronic disease epidemic and make America healthy again… and that is what I’m doing,” Kennedy responded.

“And if we don’t solve that problem, Senator, all of the other disputes we have about who’s paying—whether it’s insurance companies, whether it’s providers, whether it’s HMOs, whether it’s patients or families—all of those are just moving deck chairs around on the Titanic.”

When Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) asked Kennedy if he would “commit not to fire” anyone in government healthcare, Kennedy replied, “I will commit to not firing anybody who is doing their job.”

Warner followed up, “Based on your opinion or your political agenda or Mr. Trump’s political agenda?”

“Based on my opinion,” Kennedy asserted, and again he received applause.

Unhinged Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.) asked him why he’s allied with pro-life President Trump even though he’s pro-choice. “When did you decide to sell out your life’s work and values to get this position?”

“I agree with President Trump that every abortion is a tragedy,” Kennedy said.

Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) tried cornering Kennedy on previous comments he made about vaccines on Lex Friedman’s podcast, which Kennedy clarified.

“I‘ve corrected it MANY TIMES, including on national TV. You know about this, Senator Wyden, so bringing this up right now is dishonest,” he said.

Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) went on a tirade against Kennedy’s Children’s Health Defense (CHD) website selling baby clothes that celebrate not taking vaccines.

“ARE YOU SUPPORTIVE OF THESE ONESIES?!” Sanders screeched at him.

Kennedy reminded Sanders that he recently left the board of CHD and therefore has no say in what products the organization sells on its website.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) screamed at Kennedy demanding in a roundabout way that he not sue pharmaceutical companies as HHS Secretary.

“You’re asking me not to sue pharma companies,” he noted.

“NO I AM NOT!” Warren shrieked.

RFK said, “That’s exactly what you’re doing.”

Senator Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) also shouted at Kennedy over his past remarks raising questions about the origins of COVID-19 and the possibility it could be an engineered bioweapon.

The Democrats, clearly still reeling from their devastating election loss, are not serious people.
