Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. appeared in a town hall debate Wednesday, where he was asked about his vaccine skepticism and celebrated President Donald Trump’s kind comments toward him.

At one point in the town hall hosted by NewsNation, Kennedy sparred with a family physician who challenged his assertion vaccines contribute toward the skyrocketing rise in childhood autism.

In another segment, RFK addressed his overwhelming support from conservatives, including Alex Jones, Tucker Carlson, and most recently President Trump, who called him “a very good man” with “his heart…in the right place.”

“I’m proud that President Trump likes me even though I don’t agree with him on most of his issues, because I don’t want to alienate people. I want to bring people together,” he said. “I’m proud that all these people like me and that I have independent supporters and democratic supporters.”

Kennedy also addressed the neurological disease that caused his speech impediment.
