During President Trump’s visit to the disaster regions in North Carolina impacted by Hurricane Helene, he shared a press conference with the victims and gave them the opportunity to share their heartbreaking stories, including the naming of insurance companies they are struggling to receive a payout from.

Notably, Trump wanted to know the names of the insurance companies the victims were having trouble with.
“Has the insurance company been responsive, or not really?” Asked Trump in front of reporters Friday. “Did they give you the money they have to give you?”

Trump’s now-viral visit prompted U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) to invite the insurance companies to testify before the Senate.
