A Tucker Carlson fan called in to Fox News Tuesday night and trolled the network live on air.
In a rush to get the scoop on breaking news regarding Tuesday night’s active shooter situation at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Fox News took a phone call from “Tyrone” who claimed to be playing poker nearby when the incident unfolded.
“Tyrone, when you say poker game, what exactly happened? What transpired?” Fox host Trace Gallagher asked the caller.
“Well, we all get together Tuesday night and we watch Tucker Carlson’s show on X,” the caller began.
“We used to watch him on Fox News, obviously he’s not there no more…and still being the most credible guy in the media in America, we always get together to watch Tucker Carlson,” Tyrone continued, adding, “And I think he is probably doing better now that he’s not with Fox News, cause the corporate media always controls what the teleprompter readers are able to say.”
After the call went viral, media commentator Mark Dice took credit for the stunt on X, admitting, “Yeah, that was me who culture jammed Fox News live on air.”
“While shootings of any kind are terrible and it’s important to inform the public about a potential danger—cable news always exploits tragedies in order to keep viewers glued to their screens and fill the airtime with anything available to them,” Dice wrote on X. “In this case, some random caller whose name and identity they didn’t even bother to verify before putting on air as someone who supposedly knows what really happened.”
He further clarified, “I culture jammed them, it wasn’t a ‘prank call.’”
“Culture jamming is when you subvert the media in a creative way in order to use that same form of media to critique media itself,” Dice explained, adding, “Get it right! (Does this mean I’m not getting invited to the Christmas party, Fox?)”

Dice’s immensely effective stunt, which drew attention to the media’s practice of taking calls from unverified sources, was widely praised on social media for paying homage to Tucker Carlson after he was unceremoniously ousted by Fox News in April.
