Vice President J.D. Vance once again demonstrated how to handle the hostile corporate press in an interview with CBS News on Sunday.
“Face the Nation” host Margaret Brennan attempted to corner Vance on several issues, including President Trump’s mass deportation policy, his Cabinet picks, and the pardoned January 6 political prisoners.
Brennan tried defending Joe Biden’s liberal immigration policy and argued the millions of illegal aliens who crossed into America under his watch were “properly vetted.”
“Just like the guy who planned a terrorist attack in Oklahoma a few months ago?” Vance replied, referring to a CIA-linked Afghan national who was arrested in October for plotting an Election Day terror attack on behalf of ISIS.
Vice President @JDVance utterly embarrasses CBS and @margbrennan on the unvetted migrants that Biden allowed into our country 🔥☠️

Margaret Brennan: "These people are vetted!"

“He was allegedly ‘properly vetted,’ and the media and the Democratic Party said that he was properly vetted — clearly he wasn’t.”
Vance also easily shut down Brennan after she advocated for birthright citizenship since America was founded in part by immigrants.
“This is a very unique country…But just because we were founded by immigrants doesn’t mean that 240 years later we have to have the dumbest immigration policy in the world,” Vance noted.

Brennan was also schooled by Vance for citing the Wall Street Journal and National Review calling into question the qualifications of DNI director nominee Tulsi Gabbard.
“These are publications that attacked Donald J. Trump obsessively, but those publications don’t determine who the President is. The American people do,” Vance said.
🚨NEW: @JDVance methodically explains to CBS Dem activist Margaret Brennan that the WSJ and National Review are irrelevant:

He’s so good at this:

“Donald J. Trump is the person who determines who his Cabinet is, not these publications that I think, frankly, have lost relevance.”
Brennan lobbed a “gotcha” question at Vance about Trump’s issuing “blanket pardons” for the approximately 1,500 January 6 political prisoners, but Vance pointed out that former Attorney General Merrick Garland applied “double standards” to the protesters and “unjustly prosecuted” them.
“We looked at 1,600 cases, and the thing that came out of it, Margaret, is that there was a massive denial of due process of liberty and a lot of people were denied their constitutional rights,” he said.
Vice President JD Vance says President Trump "made the right decision" in issuing blanket pardons for about 1,500 Jan. 6 defendants, which included those convicted of attacks on police officers.

“The president believes that, I believe that, and I believe he made the right decision,” Vance added.
Vance once again gave a master class in how to deal with the bad-faith legacy media.
