The Border Patrol Union ripped Kamala Harris for her photo-op visit to the southern border on Friday, as the Vice President attempted to look tough on illegal migration.
“Vice president Harris has ignored the border problem she created for over three years,” the official account of the Border Patrol Union Tweeted on Friday night.
“ She goes down there for 20 minutes for a photo op and decides to repeat some of the things the NPBC has said before. But again, where has she been the last 3 1/2 years?”

Responses to the Tweet were brutal.
“Kamala visiting the border is like a criminal visiting the scene of the crime,” Tweeted one user.
“She caused this mess and expects people to believe she cares about border security???”
The Vice President visited the border in Arizona on Friday and spoke to a senior Border Patrol official.
At a rally in Douglas, Arizona, Harris then blasted Trump for putting the kibosh on a bipartisan immigration bill earlier this year.
“It was the strongest border security bill we have seen in decades. It was endorsed by the Border Patrol union. And it should be in effect today, producing results in real time, right now, for our country,” Harris said at the rally in Douglas.
“But Donald Trump tanked it. He picked up the phone and called some friends in Congress and said, ‘Stop the bill.’ He prefers to run on a problem instead of fixing a problem. And the American people deserve a president who cares more about border security than playing political games and their personal political future.”
Harris said she would ask Congress to pass the bill if she is elected, and would also work with Congress to create a pathway to citizenship for “hardworking immigrants who have been here for years… and deserve to have a system that works.”
She said she would also find a way to offer citizenship to so-called “Dreamers,” illegal aliens who came to the US as children and are allowed to live and work in the US under an Obama-era program, but cannot become citizens at present.
“They are American in every way. But still, they do not have an earned pathway to citizenship. And this problem has gone unsolved at this point now for decades,” Harris said.
“The same goes for farmworkers who ensure that we have food on our tables and sustain our agricultural industry – and they too have been in legal limbo for years because politicians have refused to come together and fix our broken immigration system.”
Immigration is perhaps the central issue of this election, and Kamala Harris has been doing her best to draw attention away from her personal record over the last three+ years, including her appointment as “border czar” by President Biden in 2021, which she has practically denied ever happened.
At a town hall in Michigan on Friday, former president Trump said he would “close the border” if he wins in November.
“We’re going to close the wall, and we’re going to close the border,” Trump said in response to a question from a young autoworker who had recently been laid off.
Trump described how he built “hundreds of miles” of border wall and reduced immigration substantially, only for the Biden-Harris administration to reverse course and allow the entry of unprecedented numbers of illegal aliens.
“Now we have the worst numbers in the history of the world, not just this country,” Trump added.
“At least 21 million people came in during their term [Biden and Harris] and, as we just said, a lot of them are real bad people, real rough people, but they’re also taking a lot of jobs from Americans, probably happened with you. And the small number of jobs they created were all taken by illegal immigrants in the last short period of time. And we’re going to make that change.”
A newly released report from ICE reveals that 13,000 murderers, 15,000 rapists and 425,000 convicted criminals have been allowed into America since 2021 by the Biden-Harris administration. These migrants were apprehended at the border and then deliberately released into the US, pending a future court date.
These numbers only represent migrants who were apprehended then released. According to Fox’s Bill Melugin, nearly two million “got-aways”—migrants who evaded apprehension by Border Patrol—have crossed the border since 2021.
Polling from Arizona suggests that Trump currently leads the battleground state 50-47.
