The Biden administration announced it’s establishing an “interagency group to counter antisemitism” in the wake of rapper Ye and others criticizing powerful Jewish interests in the entertainment and media industry.
Biden press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre put out a written statement on Monday condemning the “scourge of antisemitism” and vowing to draft a “strategy” to counter it.
As President Biden has made clear: antisemitism has no place in America. All Americans should forcefully reject antisemitism – including Holocaust denial – wherever it exists.
The President is establishing an inter-agency group led by Domestic Policy Council staff and National Security Council staff to increase and better coordinate U.S. Government efforts to counter antisemitism, Islamophobia, and related forms of bias and discrimination within the United States. The President has tasked the inter-agency group, as its first order of business, to develop a national strategy to counter antisemitism. This strategy will raise understanding about antisemitism and the threat it poses to the Jewish community and all Americans, address antisemitic harassment and abuse both online and offline, seek to prevent antisemitic attacks and incidents, and encourage whole-of-society efforts to counter antisemitism and build a more inclusive nation.
We look forward to working with advocates, civil rights leaders, civil society, and members of Congress on both sides of the aisle to continue countering the scourge of antisemitism.
Rapper Ye has been the most high-profile figure making major waves criticizing the “Jewish media’s” business practices in the entertainment industry, appearing on numerous podcasts and shows – including The Alex Jones Show – to air his grievances and exercise his First Amendment rights.
He also highlighted disturbing threats made by his personal trainer Harley Pasternak that he’d be forcibly institutionalized if he didn’t apologize to the Jewish community.
Jewish advocacy groups like the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) countered that they don’t control the media — after Ye’s social media accounts were shut down and his bank account frozen following his controversial remarks.
ADL president Jonathon Greenblatt lamented last week that “if we don’t get” Ye then the “myth” of Jewish power will spread.
Ironic.
Though the White House’s antisemitism initiative may seem noble on its face, its purely political nature is exposed when considering the fact they never made an interagency group for other marginalized and arguably discriminated groups.
For example, where’s the interagency group against “Asian hate” the media has been so determined to highlight in recent months?
Additionally, openly anti-white “woke” academics and activists like Rutgers University associate professor Brittany Cooper can proclaim that “whiteness” has an “end date” without a modicum of pushback from the federal government or civil rights groups.

This move by the White House appears to be nothing more than political posturing and a tactic to silence unpopular opinions, which, controversial or not, are protected by the First Amendment, as long as they don’t become direct threats or acts of violence.
