An anti-war activist interrupted a Hillary Clinton event Monday, prompting the former secretary of state to shout him down in an incredible spectacle.
The incident unfolded as Clinton was moderating an Institute of Global Politics discussion at Columbia University, as an enthusiastic student attempted to get her to condemn Joe Biden’s calls for funding wars in his national address days earlier.

“Can you please make a statement about President Joe Biden’s speech?” a man in the audience shouted at Clinton even after she’d attempted to get him to quiet down.
“This is a clearly warmongering speech. President Joe Biden is calling for a hundred billion dollars of funding for Israel, Taiwan and Ukraine. And we’re supposed to just bundle these together and pretend like we’re going to rush to World War Three and we’re all just going to let Hillary Rodham Clinton sit here…” he said, before Clinton shut him down.
“I’m sorry. You know, this is not the way to have a conversation,” she told him, adding, “If you want to have a conversation, you’re welcome to come talk to me afterwards.”
“Okay, right. You’re going to wait for me, right? I do not believe you,” the man told the former First Lady.
“I will listen to you and I will respond to you,” Clinton replied.
“I do not believe you. Respectfully, I do not believe you. And the fact of the matter is that the American people’s voice are what need to be heard,” the man continued. “Because our president is not speaking for the American people and neither are you.”
The heated exchange then dovetailed into a discussion on whether the man’s shouting was an exercise of his constitutionally protected right to free speech.
“I’m not going to stop. I’m not going to stop working. I’m going to wait here. I’m going to exercise my free speech,” the man shouted.
“But it’s not free speech when you are disrupting everybody else’s opportunity to speak,” she told him.
“Yes, it is. It is free speech. This is free speech, everyone!” the man told the crowd. “This is free speech. That is not free speech. This is people constructing narratives that are openly hypocritical. I’m sorry. The incredible hypocrisy. John Foster Dulles went with Eleanor Roosevelt to bring the Declaration of the Rights of Man. John Foster Dulles was involved with the CIA!”
Hillary shot back, “Oh yeah, well you’re brilliant in your historical cherry-picking.”
As the event rolled on, Clinton tried to speak to guests on stage while the man continued to shout.
“What I have done is I have asked Hillary Rodham Clinton to denounce the president’s openly warmongering, suicidal, idiotic speech,” he said.
“And I’ve given you the answer I will not do that. So that’s the end of our conversation, but I’ll still meet you outside,” she told him.
As he’s whisked away, a security officer can be heard telling the man, “I need your identification right now.”
The man was applauded on social media for holding Clinton’s feet to the fire and exposing the establishment’s foaming-at-the-mouth rush to start world War 3.
