TxDPS troopers attempted to pull over a suspicious Dodge Caravan when the driver began taking evasive action.
During an ensuing high-speed pursuit, troopers observed that the vehicle was grossly overloaded and multiple passengers were even standing in the rear cargo area as the door swung open.
The driver raced through residential neighborhoods before eventually jumping out and leave the vehicle in gear.
A horde of illegal aliens bailed out of the van as it continued to roll forward.
Troopers apprehended 18 Mexican illegals along with the driver, who was identified as Felipe Montez, a resident of Rio Grande City.
Montez was charged with smuggling of persons and evading.
The illegal aliens were turned over to U.S. Border Patrol.
