Following Donald Trump’s historic re-election, Tesla CEO Elon Musk touted his social media app X as a place for citizen journalists to document real-world happenings, remarking that everyday people can freely express opinions countering corporate mainstream media narratives.
“You are the media now,” Musk wrote in an X post after Trump secured the White House Tuesday, despite constant negative depictions by the mainstream press.
“News should come from the people,” Musk added in a follow-up post. “From those actually on the scene and those who actually are subject-matter experts!”
Musk elaborated that, opposite to what was being conveyed on mainstream media networks, the sentiment of the American electorate was easy to gauge on X, where popular opinions earn more upvotes and reposts from users.
“The reality of this election was plain to see on 𝕏, while most legacy media lied relentlessly to the public,” Musk wrote on Wednesday.
“You are the media now. Please post your thoughts & observations on 𝕏, correct others when wrong and we will have at least one place in the world where you can come to find the truth.”

Joining Tucker Carlson at Mar-a-Lago Tuesday, Musk discussed how the establishment has viciously targeted him over his ownership of X, emphasizing it’s keen on silencing dissent and maintaining control over narratives.

In the run-up to Tuesday’s election, numerous voting irregularities, ballot issues and polling discrepancies happening across the country were exposed in real-time on X, with proper authorities promptly alerted to fix problems, while Republicans directed voters to stay in line to cast their votes for Trump.
Likewise, Twitter’s power to spread news is also being blamed by leftist media for contributing to Democrat Kamala Harris’ resounding defeat, with “The View” show hosts calling for regulation of “misinformation” on the platform Tuesday, and former White House press secretary Jen Psaki labeling Musk a “propagandist.”
The View just blamed Fox News, @elonmusk, social media and @X for Trump’s massive win. They also called for regulating social media to stop "disinformation" and indoctrination in schools where kids would be taught as early as nursery school to believe the legacy media. pic.twitter.com/Bkzbgzx2FP

While X’s previous iteration Twitter favored censorship of users – going as far as banning the New York Post ahead of the 2020 election over its Hunter Biden laptop coverage, in addition to banning former President Trump as he tried to tell J6 protesters to go home – Musk’s acquisition of the platform is being celebrated as one of the key factors that helped Trump secure victory on Tuesday.
Elon is such a dumbass. He spent $44 billion on Twitter and all he got was control of all 3 branches of the federal government.
