A Greek member of the European Union’s Parliament recently delivered an epic speech eviscerating the EU’s socialist policies that have resulted in a massive resurgence of right-wing populism to counter its devastating effects.
Afroditi Latinopoulou of Greece’s Voice of Reason Party argued before the parliament that the left’s 50 years of socialist policies are responsible for the disorder, unrest, and turmoil within the EU, not the “far-right.”
“Did the right destroy industry? Did the right idolize Greta Thunberg? Did the right impose green energy at the expense of industry, destroying the EU’s competitiveness?” she asked. “Or was it the socialist governments that have been ruling the European Union for 50 years?”

“France, Italy, Germany, Spain, and my homeland Greece have been devastated by groundless socialist policies. And today you, the destroyers of Europe, have the audacity to point fingers at us, saying that we conservatives are a threat to Europe?”
“I laugh. I truly laugh,” she continued. “As Margaret Thatcher wisely said, ‘The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.’ So abandon these ghost stories about supposed far-right threats and implement liberal economic policies.”
“Lower taxes, increase competitiveness, bring back plastic straws, leave lignite alone, invest in the industry and, above all, face reality: YOU HAVE FAILED.”
“Follow what we’re telling you before it’s too late for everyone. We are the future and you are the past,” she added.
Latinopoulou also proposed at the Patriots for Europe Summit last week to Make Europe Great Again by restoring and defending its borders, traditions and identity.
This comes as nationalist populist candidates have been winning elections throughout Europe in response to the left’s destructive mass migration and climate policies, which have been with among EU elites with calls for censorship and threats to suspend elections if candidates they don’t like win, such as with Romania’s election.
