The division in the Democrat party was on full display at a town hall event hosted by Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) over the weekend, where a protester shouted at her for refusing to condemn Israel’s war on Gaza.
“I am a healthcare worker and I want to know what you’re doing about the genocide in Gaza!” shouted the woman, interrupting AOC at her event in Jackson Heights Queens on Friday. “Shame on you! You’re a liar!”
“Shame on you, I used to support you,” the woman continued shouting as she was asked to leave the building. “You’re a war criminal! War criminal! War Criminal!”

AOC later told the crowd, “Here’s the deal, with town halls: I more than welcome people who disagree or are maybe even super pissed off at me for any issue to come but we have some ground rules here. Please wait for the Q&A because we don’t want to deprive all of our neighbors of the ability to have information and hear things and respond to it.”
The disruption from a member of AOC’s own Party comes as President Donald Trump called out the disunity among Democrats during a Meet the Press interview Sunday, saying they were in disarray and describing one of Dems’ rising stars, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas), as a “low-IQ person.”
