CNN news reports that Rev. Terry Jones has called off the scheduled burning of the Koran (Qur’an) today. “We will definitely not burn the Quran,” the Rev. Terry Jones told NBC’s “Today” on Saturday “Not today, not ever.” The burning had been planned for 6 p.m.

While this news is a relief to many that have been following the issue, others have pledged to go ahead with the scheduled burning themselves. Reports that a Springfield pastor has every intention of carrying out the burning have been circulating through the news. A Westboro Baptist Church has vowed to hold a Qur’an burning if Gainesville’s Dove World called it off. The founder of the Wyoming Tyranny Response Team plans to burn a copy of the Qur’an on the steps of the State Capitol on Saturday.

This issue has been dominating mainstream media for weeks, distracting from the truth about the events of September 11, 2001. The effort to hide the massive 9/11 Truth events taking place by giving this pastor 24/7 news coverage has failed. 9/11 Truth made headlines when they appeared at a Qur’an burning news conference this week.
