A new Rasmussen poll has found that just 18 per cent of Americans support Antifa, with approval for the violent far-left group having dropped over the last year.
“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that only 18% of Likely U.S. Voters share a favorable opinion of the antifa protesters, with six percent (6%) who view them Very Favorably. That compares to 24% and eight percent (8%) respectively last September.”
In other words, the more the American people see of Antifa’s behavior, the less they approve, meaning Antifa violence is actually working in President Trump’s favor as we head towards the mid-terms and the 2020 election.
“Fifty-four percent (54%) have an unfavorable opinion of these protesters, including 39% with a Very Unfavorable one. Twenty-eight percent (28%) are undecided,” the poll found.
The poll puts paid to the horrendously reductive argument that because Antifa calls itself “anti-fascist,” that makes anyone who doesn’t support them a fascist. This would mean that around 260 million Americans are fascists.
Arguing that Antifa are anti-fascist because they call themselves that is like arguing that the Democratic Republic of North Korea is a democratic Republic – it isn’t.
Another example of Antifa’s unbridled thuggery occurred at the Patriot Prayer march in Portland on August 4th when a man was beaten around the head by Antifa goons with a metal pipe for carrying an American flag.
The victim later turned out to be a Bernie Sanders-supporting leftist.
Video shows a struggle for a flag and then a black-clad person hit this dude in the head before he drops. I was watching the blood pour out of his head and into the street. #DefendPDX #AllOutPDX pic.twitter.com/KPRk1D8l00
