The head of a city agency in Cranston, Rhode Island, is out of a job after a bizarre stunt in which a man dressed as an elderly woman to make a news conference look better.

Sue Stenhouse, the executive director of the Senior Enrichment Center, resigned after WJAR uncovered that she asked a man to dress up as an elderly woman to make her press conference last week look better for the media.

She was promoting the Snow Angels Program, which encourages volunteers to help home-bound seniors get shoveled out when it snow.

She had three young people behind her at the news conference with shovels, but didn’t have an elderly person so she asked a man to wear a dress, wig, lipstick, blush and earrings.
