A top foreign policy adviser to presidential hopeful Marco Rubio says he would rather vote for Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin than republican frontrunner Donald Trump.

In an interview with The New York Times Wednesday, Max Boot, a self-described neoconservative, stated he would rather vote for the mass murderer than the hotel mogul.

“I would sooner vote for Josef Stalin than I would vote for Donald Trump,” Boot said.

The Council on Foreign Relations fellow went on to state that if Trump were to become the Republican nominee, he would vote against the party for the first time in his life.

“There is no way in hell I would ever vote for him,” Boot continued. “I would far more readily support Hillary Clinton, or Bloomberg if he ran.”

According to historians, more than 20 million deaths have been directly attributed to Stalin’s rule in Soviet Russia.

As noted by the Daily Caller, Boot also told news outlet Vox that Trump was a “fascist demagogue,” “bigoted and ignorant” and held a “crackpot” view toward foreign policy.

“I’m literally losing sleep over Donald Trump,” Boot said.
