Four Allentown police officers were injured while responding to a series of fights Thursday afternoon in the city, the department’s Assistant Chief Bill Lake said.
Cellphone video purportedly shows one of the disturbances, in which a female police officer is repeatedly brought to the ground and assaulted.
Lake said he was aware of the video.
“We’re still investigating,” he said. “We’re interviewing witnesses and reviewing videos.”
The incidents began about 3 p.m., when police were dispatched to a large disturbance near 15th and Linden streets, Lake said.
