A Chicago synagogue thought to be one destination for a parcel bomb was actually never a target, a congregation leader said Wednesday.

Lilli Kornblum, co-president of Or Chadash, said that despite earlier reports, an FBI agent informed her that her synagogue was not one of the intended destinations in the foiled bomb plot that originated in Yemen.

Over the weekend, Kornblum said that she got information from a string of sources that led her to believe that Or Chadash, which is dedicated to serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered community was linked to the plot.
