Turkish fighter jets have harassed the Greek PM’s helicopter as it flew to Rhodes in the latest escalation in tensions between the two nations.

Alexis Tsipras’ helicopter was flying at an altitude of 1,500 feet when a pair of Turkish fighter jets reportedly approached from 10,000 feet and asked the Greek pilot to provide flight details, according to reports.

The pilot then told the Greek PM about the situation and he mustered two fighter jets of his own – the Turks then backed down.
