A day after a drone was discovered on the roof of the prime minister’s office in Tokyo, another one was found in the compound of the British Embassy in the capital’s Chiyoda Ward.
The unmanned aerial device on the embassy grounds belonged to Tokyo Metropolitan Television Broadcasting Corp. (Tokyo MX), according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
The TV station flew the drone on April 22 from its head office, also in Chiyoda Ward, but it soon went missing. The broadcaster reported the missing craft to the MPD’s Kojimachi Police Station around 6:30 p.m. that evening.
Around 6:30 p.m. on April 23, the company told police that “it was found on the compound of the British Embassy (which is 100 meters away),” the police said.
