An Albuquerque family says federal agents were just three trailers away from the guy they were looking for when they shot and killed an innocent man.

“Because of you, he’s dead fool! They killed our cousin because of you,” family members yelled at people being arrested at the trailer park on Central Avenue near Unser Saturday morning.

The incident happened just before 4 a.m. The U.S. Marshals Service confirmed they arrested George Bond, a murder suspect who prompted a shelter-in-place at an Albuquerque post office Friday, during the incident.

But while they attempted to execute the arrest warrant, something happened and marshals opened fire. New Mexico State Police say they are still investigating the officer-involved shooting, but family members tell KOB the agents fatally shot 23-year-old Edgar Alvarado.
