A film production company is planning a new movie about the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings and the shootout that followed in Watertown on April 19, 2013.
They want to re-create the shootout at the intersection where it happened – Dexter Avenue and Laurel Street.
According to Watertown News, CBS Films contacted some residents there earlier this month with a flyer “seeking approval from the neighborhood to proceed with our filming plans.”
The movie, “Patriots Day,” will star Dorchester-native Mark Wahlberg. Former Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis, now a WBZ-TV security analyst, will be the central character in the film.
