Following the final verdict decided upon by an all-female jury in the Florida shooting case of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, the formally acquitted George Zimmerman believes he needs his firearm now “even more” than before, according to one of his lawyers.

Labeling his client a “pariah,” Mark O’Mara, one of the attorneys that defended the 29-year-old neighborhood watch volunteer, says Zimmerman’s life has been forever changed due to media circus coverage of the case, which has all but ensured Zimmerman will have to live the rest of his life “somewhere else.”

Absurdly, ABC News asked O’Mara if Zimmerman intended to reassert his Second Amendment right to bear arms and right of self-defense now that he has been found innocent.

O’Mara replied, “Yes. [There’s] even more reason now, isn’t there? There are a lot of people out there who actually hate him, though they shouldn’t,” referring to the wave of angry protests and riots, in addition to threats made against his client’s life spurred by the jury’s decision, made all the worse by race-baiting celebrity tweets, a biased media and most notably the Obama administration who says the “tide of gun violence” has harmed the nation, and that the system slighted “two parents who lost their young son.”

“I think that [Zimmerman] feels, truly in his heart, that if he did not have that weapon he might not be here,” O’Mara told ABC News in a program that aired Sunday. “If I was him, I would go somewhere else… I don’t think he can work. I don’t think anyone can hire him… George is a pariah.”

Given Obama’s statement Sunday on the matter – which somehow garnered enough attention to be of national importance – and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s statement that the Department of Justice is “going to take a look” at the case and that it “isn’t over with,” we can expect the administration to further continue to milk the race card and shift the issue’s focus to a renewed effort against the Bill of Rights, specifically the Second Amendment.

Of course, nowhere near the lynch mob of outrage arises when the Obama admin authorizes drone strikes which have killed hundreds of innocent civilians in places like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen and Somalia.
