Ryan and Valerie Watson of Oklahoma have had their lives turned upside down after being arrested at an airport during their vacation to the Turks and Caicos islands.
Airport security at the airport found four rounds of rifle ammunition Ryan allegedly left in his luggage by accident after previously using the bag for a hunting trip.
A GoFundMe for the Watson family reads, “They had their lives turned upside down when they tried to return home, as local airport security found four rounds of ammunition unknowingly left in a duff[le]bag from a deer hunting trip. It was not noticed by TSA when leaving America. Now, they are facing a legal system that is unfamiliar, daunting, and expensive that operates differently than the American Justice System.”
While Valerie was finally released from jail on Tuesday, Ryan made bail on Wednesday but has to stay on the island at least until a June 7th “sufficiency” hearing.
It’s unlikely the anti-Second Amendment Biden administration will do much to help the American citizen with his legal troubles.
