Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) sent a busload of illegal aliens to the home of Kamala Harris Thursday in attempts to show the US Vice President the border is not secure.
“This morning, two Texas buses of migrants arrived at the Naval Observatory in DC,” Abbott tweeted. “VP Harris claims our border is ‘secure’ & denies the crisis. We’re sending migrants to her backyard to call on the Biden Administration to do its job & secure the border.”
The governor attached a Fox News report where footage can be viewed of over 100 illegal aliens from Venezuela, Uruguay, Colombia and Mexico transported from Del Rio, Texas, unloading outside Harris’ Naval Observatory residence in Washington DC.

Asked by a Fox reporter if the border was open or closed, one illegal immigrant who had just disembarked told him it was “open.”
“It’s open, not closed. The border is open… everybody believes that the border is open. It’s open because we enter. We come in, free, no problem,” another illegal told the Fox reporter. “Yeah, we came illegally, not legal,” he added.
Harris has been frequently criticized for never visiting the southern border amid the immigration crisis despite being appointed border czar, and was panned on social media following the stunt.

The immigrants’ declaration on the open border contrast with comments expressed by Kamala just a few days ago when she told Meet the Press’s Chuck Todd the border was “secure.”
“We’ve had 2 million people cross this border for the first time ever. You’re confident this border is secure?” Todd asked her.
“We have a secure border in that that is a priority for any nation, including ours in our administration,” Harris responded.
Abbott had previously transported illegal migrants to New York City and Chicago, where Mayor Lori Lightfoot landed in hot water for relocating them to hotels in suburbs surrounding the Windy City.
The Texas governor’s migrant drop shipment was mirrored by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), who flew two planes of illegals to Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts Wednesday.
