Presidential frontrunner Donald Trump spoke to the press following his court appearance on Tuesday, telling the media the whole case “is a sham.”

Trump held up a stack of articles that called the lawsuit “a sham” and called the judge’s gag order “totally unconstitutional.”

“I’m not allowed to talk with people, but they’re allowed to talk about me,” he explained. “So, they can talk about me, they can say whatever they want. They can lie, but I’m not allowed to say anything. I just have to sit back and look at why a conflicted judge has ordered me to have a gag order… I’d love to say everything that’s on my mind, but I’m restricted.”

On his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote, “HIGHLY CONFLICTED, TO PUT IT MILDLY, JUDGE JUAN MERCHAN, HAS TAKEN AWAY MY CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH. EVERYBODY IS ALLOWED TO TALK AND LIE ABOUT ME, BUT I AM NOT ALLOWED TO DEFEND MYSELF. THIS IS A KANGAROO COURT, AND THE JUDGE SHOULD RECUSE HIMSELF!”
