The shooter that left 10 people dead in Monterey Park, Calif., before taking his own life on Sunday has been identified as Huu Can Tran, a 72-year-old Asian male.

Before the danger ended, when authorities discovered Tran had been found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in his van, many on the left were speculating on social media that the shooting was a hate crime perpetrated by a right-wing white supremacist.

But not only was the shooter not white, as it turns out, the shooting was also likely brought on by a domestic dispute, according to reports.
