An 18-year-old man in Buffalo is facing fraud charges after he allegedly vandalized his own vehicle with hate messages.
Clifton Eutsey blamed white supremacist Trump supporters back on October 15 after he claimed he found his 2004 BMW X5 spray-painted with profanity-laden graffiti, including the n-word, homophobic slurs, poorly-drawn swastikas, KKK and anti-BLM messages.
The front windshield was smashed and sugar was also poured in the gas tank, a police report states.
Pro-Trump slogans were also spray-painted on the vehicle, including messages reading, “Vote 4 Trump” and, “Trump for President!”
According to WGRZ, Eutsey’s charges include:
- Insurance Fraud in the Third Degree, a Class “D” felony
- Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the Second Degree, a Class “A” misdemeanor
- Falsifying Business Records in the Second Degree, a Class “A” misdemeanor
- Falsely Reporting an Incident in the Third Degree, a Class “A” misdemeanor
Despite Erie County District Attorney John Flynn claiming there’s footage proving Eutsey’s at fault, his attorney entered a not guilty plea and he was released with a court appearance scheduled for January 11, 2021.
Eutsey was also jailed on Oct. 24 after a traffic stop where police said he had no license and possessed two loaded illegal handguns, the DA said.
“If convicted on all charges, Eutsey faces up to 7 years in prison,” comments WGRZ.
While Eutsey may have hoped to defraud his insurance company, instead he merely added to the growing list of fabricated hate crimes falsely blamed on supporters of President Donald Trump.
