During a Zoom chat on Wednesday, Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden told Oprah Winfrey his controversial son Hunter Biden is “the smartest guy” he knows.
Sleepy Joe popped in as a surprise guest on the virtual “get-out-the-vote” event Winfrey created to mobilize Democrats in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Minnesota and Ohio.
Biden spoke with Winfrey and a 92-year-old Michigan woman named Mildred Madison who says she drove over 600 miles to vote after her absentee ballot never showed up in the mail.
Telling Madison what he did after Barack Obama asked him to be his running mate, Biden said, “So I got off the train, went home, true story. And we sat down the back and I had my deceased son Beau, who was then the Attorney General of the state of Delaware. And I had my son Hunter… he’s the smartest guy I know.”
“I told him I didn’t want to do it,” Biden continued, referring to Obama. “This is public knowledge now. I thought I could help him more as a US senator.”
Eventually Obama convinced Biden to run with him and the rest is history.
Joe Biden’s comment comes as Hunter is at the center of one of the largest scandals in American political history.
A laptop Hunter Biden dropped off at a Delaware computer store was handed over to the FBI and the New Castle County Police Department after illegal activity was allegedly found.
Images of Hunter smoking crack cocaine, having sex with hookers and with an underage individual who is an immediate family member were all supposedly on the hard drive.
Many of these pictures have been posted to the internet.
According to a Senate report, some of Hunter’s hookers may have been victims of human trafficking.
As far as the images of Hunter using hard drugs, he has admitted to being an addict in several interviews over the years.
In 2019, Hunter described having a gun pointed at his head while trying to purchase crack in Los Angeles, and in 2017 he wrecked a rental car and left his crack pipe in the vehicle.
In addition to all of this, in the past few years, Hunter started to have a relationship with his dead brother’s wife and impregnated a stripper.
Hunter tried to avoid providing child support to the stripper who proved in court he is the biological father, and eventually, the pair came to a settlement.
Sounds like a “smart” guy!
