Conservative diehard Ben Shapiro has come around to Trump.
In a segment on his podcast Monday, Shapiro says despite previous misgivings about Trump during the last election, the president’s put his money where his mouth throughout the past four years.
“I did not vote for Donald Trump in 2016. I am voting for Donald Trump in 2020,” the onetime never-Trumper states.
He goes on to explain:
“There are three reasons I’m gonna vote for Donald Trump in 2020, when I didn’t four years ago.
“First, I was simply wrong about Donald Trump on policy.
“Second, I wasn’t really wrong about Donald Trump on character, but whatever damage he was gonna do has already been done, and it’s not gonna help if I don’t vote for him this time.
“And third, most importantly, the Democrats have lost their f*cking minds.”
Shapiro proceeds to expound on his points one-by-one.
The lead editor of The Daily Wire, who formerly worked for Breitbart, famously parted ways with Trump in March 2016 at the same time as colleague Michelle Fields, who accused Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski of assault when he grabbed her by the arm during a Trump event.
