Sleepy Joe Biden will speak to the nation Thursday night where he’s expected to ask politicians for stronger gun control legislation in the wake of the Uvalde, Texas shooting.
After the address was announced, Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy questioned the Biden administration’s motive behind the speech.
“You guys at the White House have had some very hard headlines this week, about inflation and about baby formula,” Doocy began. “If there’s nothing new that you can point to in this speech tonight, did you just schedule it to get people talking about something else?”
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre responded, “People have died in the past couple of weeks, in particular, we had 19 kids died in Uvalde.”
Continuing, Jean-Pierre claimed, “This is not about partisan politics here. This is something he has worked on since he was a Senator. This is very important and real to the president and for the grieving families he has met with in the last two weeks.”
However, as GOP Rep. Jim Jordan (Ohio) pointed out on Twitter Thursday, Joe Biden said in 1985 when he was serving in the Senate that he “never believed that additional gun control or federal registration of guns would reduce crime.”
Conservative activist Scott Presler joked on Twitter by asking Biden when he will visit Tulsa, Oklahoma, where a black man shot and killed several people at a hospital since Sleepy Joe was quick to travel to Buffalo where a white man shot and killed several people in a grocery store.
Biden’s impromptu national address comes a day after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi revealed Democrat plans to introduce legislation banning “military-style assault weapons,” which means any semi-automatic rifle.
The war on the U.S. Constitution and the American government’s outrageous Covid-19 lockdowns and other measures should be enough to make citizens realize the Second Amendment is the only thing stopping the globalists from obtaining total control.
