The Democrat-run city of New York is set to deploy flying drones to hover around the Big Apple and catch pesky citizens trying to enjoy this weekend’s Labor Day festivities.
At 16:50 in the press conference below, NYPD Assistant Commissioner Kaz Daughtry told New Yorkers the police will be using drone technology to respond to “large crowds” and “large parties in the backyards.”
The drones will essentially serve as an eye in the sky for police to determine how many officers to send to a scene, if any.
Footage of NYPD officers test flying drones was posted online.
Internet users dragged the city’s police department for encroaching on the privacy of citizens and for cracking down on holiday gatherings while actual criminal activity in New York is rampant.
