Police in Belmar, New Jersey, are being called out online for slamming a surfer to the ground due to an argument about whether or not he had a “beach badge” granting him access to the ocean.
Fox 5 aired footage of the ridiculous incident:
According to witnesses, California-based surfer Liam Mahoney had just exited the water when police officers started questioning him about having a “beach badge” the city forces citizens to wear in order to enter the ocean.
Mahoney and a woman he was with told the cops his badge was attached to his nearby beach bag, but things soon became physical when he refused to be placed in handcuffs.
Two officers then choked and slammed the surfer to the sand while shocked bystanders shouted for them to stop.
Infowars host Owen Shroyer shared the footage, writing, “This is how screwed up our country is. Arrested for illegal surfing because he didn’t have a surf badge. Dems fight for ability to vote with no ID. Millions of migrants cross border every year with no ID. When things don’t add up, you know it’s corrupt.”
