The office of Arizona’s Secretary of State Katie Hobbs (D) colluded with Twitter to censor her critics ahead of the 2022 midterms, leaked emails reveal.
This is in addition to Hobbs overseeing the election in which she ran and threatening to jail county supervisors if they didn’t certify her questionable gubernatorial election win.
The emails came from the Missouri v Biden lawsuit, a civil liberties case by the Missouri and Louisiana attorneys general against Joe Biden, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and numerous government agencies alleging a “massive coordinated effort by the Deep State, the permanent administrative state, to work with Big Tech to censor and manipulate Americans—from average citizens to news outlets—on issues including the Hunter Biden Laptop from Hell, 2020 Election Integrity, COVID-19 origin and extent skepticism, COVID-19 vaccine skepticism, among other issues.”
A 2021 Twitter email shows Hobbs’ Communications Director C. Murphy Hebert “flagging” tweets and asking Twitter to remove them, which they obliged.

This email shows Hobbs’ office was concerned about the spreading of “election misinformation.”
Notably, Hebert previously worked as Maricopa County’s Communications Director before working for Hobbs’ office.
Maricopa County is the notoriously unreliable county that was mired in voting, ballot, and counting issues in both the 2020 and 2022 elections.

OAN’s Christina Bobb succinctly summarized the developments:
“Katie Hobbs’s office contacts Twitter to have posts removed! So, the democrat candidate, who ran the AZ election, censored her political opponents, disrupted Election Day votes, and then threatened counties with prosecution if they didn’t declare her the winner,” she tweeted Sunday.

Kari Lake, Hobbs’ Republican challenger for AZ governor, called for Hobbs to be “disqualified and prosecuted” in light of her effort to violate the First Amendment rights of Twitter users.
“So using an official government position to interfere in an election. Isn’t that a felony? The racist Hobbs should be disqualified and prosecuted,” she said in a statement through her War Room campaign account.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) on Sunday called for a federal investigation into Hobbs’ efforts to violate the First Amendment for her own political gain.
“The SOS of AZ and Gov candidate, Katie Hobbs, used the power of the AZ SOS to collude w/ Twitter to unconstitutionally violate 1st Amendment rights of Americans for her own political gain. This is communism and Hobbs can not be governor. I’m calling for a Federal investigation,” she tweeted.

The midterm election in Arizona was plagued with issues, including widespread tabulation machine and printer malfunctions, and ballot discrepancies and mishandling that resulted in a weeks-long delay of the results.
Hundreds of disenfranchised poll workers railed against the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors last week before the county certified the election.
Some even pointed out how the Board of Supervisors had launched a PAC to target Republican candidates.
The issues were so grievous that Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced last month he would launch an investigation into the “election irregularities.”
“These complaints go beyond pure speculation, but include first-hand witness accounts that raise concerns regarding Maricopa’s lawful compliance with Arizona election law,” reads the letter.
“Furthermore, statements made by both Chairman Gates and Recorder Richer, along with information Maricopa County released through official modes of communication appear to confirm potential statutory violations of title 16.”
Despite the documented election problems, Hobbs went ahead and certified her own election, falsely claiming “democratic institutions thrived” in the state. No conflict of interest here!
